I think there was another base TG bot that's about to come out that I saw floating around on X, can't recall it off the top of my head

Honestly juice probably not worth the squeeze right now given the abysmal state of the Base trenches

haven't there been a ton of coins on base that have had significant runs over the last couple months? including a bunch of long term builders?

feels like an outdated perspective

There have definitely been some, idk about a ton, but by comparison Solana has $1m coins pretty much every day

So my point is “trenching” isn’t really worth it on Base right now because there aren’t any runners coming out on a daily (or even weekly) basis

yeah I hear that and I guess the question is whether those $1m coins on Solana are real opportunities or predominantly a game that no regular trader can win

I would consider myself a regular trader and I’ve had plenty of opportunities to win on there but generally agree that it’s trading and not investing (I don’t hold very long)

I think you're incredibly innovative and strangely smart!

My favorite developing meta is cultural trends getting tokenized and watching the coin grow as the trend proliferates

Definitely a lot of opportunities for people to make money if they’re paying attention to trends online

Still some market inefficiency between pop culture and the crypto crowd (opportunity!) but the gap is closing

so the way I see it:

the "trenches" are a game with real opportunities. Most “regular traders” will lose. Some will quit, some will get better, some will get so good that they make generational wealth from the trenches and retire. The solana trenches have done a good job of providing a "solution" to growing financial nihilism. I don't think see it as bad that most can't win. I don't see it as right or wrong, it just is.

base is interesting because you see flashes of tradfi investing philosophies. Real projects, doxxed builders, more stable charts. The longer some of these base projects survive and thrive, it'll attract new participants (which is ultimately the real goal)

in my eyes, why can't base do both? Build amazing trench conditions for pure speculators/traders, while continuing to foster an environment for long term builders. We saw some flashes of this last fall with base memes receiving parabolic moves ($SKI, $DOGINME)

That's when the "base is for everyone" vision makes the most sense to me.
