haven't there been a ton of coins on base that have had significant runs over the last couple months? including a bunch of long term builders? feels like an outdated perspective

There have definitely been some, idk about a ton, but by comparison Solana has $1m coins pretty much every day So my point is “trenching” isn’t really worth it on Base right now because there aren’t any runners coming out on a daily (or even weekly) basis

fair point, I do know some of my solana trader friends who are starting to move capital from solana to base recently because solana trenches seem like a “solved game” atm for better or for worse base coins never quite have the violent moves up in a short time period that solana coins get. base coins tend to have less downside risk (especially those backed by a product). The above is all coming from a trader/trencher perspective so hopefully there’s some value there! From a builder perspective I still think base/farcaster is a better playground (which is why we launch on base) if you’re thinking on a longer time horizon because of the trader mindset that’s deep in solana/CT culture

not really tbh base size is not size relative to the sol trenches def a good crowd of long term builders on base but that’s not to say there aren’t long term builders on sol too
