I avoided this book in high school because many said it was porn for libertarians. But after Mountainhead, I am now curious. Will report back.

FWIW, The Fountainhead was _much_ better.

Like, 40% through Atlas Shrugged I thought "damn, the haters lied, it's clearly great," and then she wasted 700 pages and I was bored to tears.

I found Atlas Shrugged immensely frustrating.

(I _loved_ The Fountainhead tho. Incredible book.)

It's the last book of fiction she writes but she clearly wasn't into it and switches to essays midway through, writes them for the rest of her career.
