Many not purple pilled founders ask why would I ever launch on Farcaster there is no reach. 

Usually, my answer is simple:

1. Social proof from high signal people is worth weight in gold. 

Ex. look at the /neynar homepage and all of the glowing reviews. 

2. Agents, Mini Apps and Extensions let you fuck around and find out, gain access to early adopters with connected wallets, and gather kinder feedback that’s constructive 

Ex. Many cases… one more thing

Cultural fit is paramount. Few apps have managed to straddle both platforms so far. If any?

For some builders, it's a high water mark. For other builders, it comes second natures… Here's my hot take: 

"Yes, and…" - Content / application localization to metas, norms and memes that hit on each platform widely varies. The /replyguys on LinkedIn are entirely different than the ones on X or here. As do early adopters and the sorts of feedback you can expect from each channel.

Localizing content, community, and applications for a locked-in product market fit for each channel is key to staying power imo.

I think in my mind it's, "What is the job, what is the mission?"

PMF is the job, but reach is the mission. PMF can change rapidly and responding to it is existential eventually.

Zuck, for example, having to throw out 9 figure offers to sustain PMF because without PMF it jeopardizes the mission of reach.

yes, and … 

getting pmf dialed in early and pressure tested all assumption, use cases, onboarding hurdles and churn risks 

til you have a high enough confidence level to get to scale through more reach feels like first order vs second order priorities 

I've never blitz scaled a major consumer social app like you or dwr tho, so obvi my thoughts from the cheap seats ser

Reach is incredibly important to survival, though.

open social graph data + builder support + the inherent nature of crypto to monetise basic level stuff

please expand… why is it better here than elsewhere - please don't make a dangling point and leave it hanging dood
