I find it fascinating that if you move from drive to reverse in a Tesla or any other electric car for that matter, it’ll say that it’s shifting gears

And then I realize, this is an electric car there is no transmission. There are no gears. Language￼ starts to get out paced by the technology but we still continue to use the words because they describe the reality that we used to live in
