Daimo Pay. Build once, distribute everywhere

The closest Ethereum's had to downtime is some large gas spikes, but that's:
1. unavoidable in a permissionless protocol
2. still way better than even 10m of hard downtime, let alone 4h+
3. mitigated by upcoming L1 scaling

Users treat exuberant fees as a defacto liveness failure. To those users Ethereum was down for all of 2021.  Ethereum fees were so bad that 99.5% reliability but guaranteed low cost was better, and thats how solana managed to get pmf.

Genuinely curious, and I ask this with so much respect for what you’ve built (I use solana almost daily) - how do you address financial institutions’ risk teams if/when they bring up historical down time? Or rather I’d love to ask, do they even bring this up?
