I think it's more likely that in most cases, those houses will be sold to pay for assisted living, end of life services and medical costs.

Yeah, between climate change and people just not wanting to live in FL for political reasons, I think a lot of that property could end up being abandoned.    Like, you can't purchase a property if no insurance company will insure it.
