Thoughts on getting PMF and keeping it; When I opened a nightclub six years ago I wasn’t thinking about scale - I just wanted to build something people lined up for. They did, and to my surprise, they still do. While the nightlife industry contracts around us, we’re having a record-breaking year. Now, my focus is on iteration vs ignition. The business operates more like a startup than ever, obsessing over two levers: culture and systems. 1. Everything is downstream of culture. It’s fluid, emotional, and essential. What’s cool today might be cringe tomorrow, and relevance can’t be copy-pasted. The real challenge is building internal culture that evolves fast enough to stay in sync with the crowd without becoming reactive. I’m trying to think long-term in an industry built on moments. 2. Sales follow systems. You can’t brute-force scale in nightlife. Getting more tables and tequila out the door comes down to repeatable systems. The front is a vibe; the backend runs like high-volume Saas.

Can you recall a moment when you leaned into culture and it actually clicked?

Many over the years, most impactful efforts come from great hiring since great people can exponentially scale culture. Moments for me when it clicked has always been seeing the brand in the wild, people have tattoos, wear the merch, etc.
