I don’t really understand the details of this—how and how much is actually distributed. I only know that Jacek mentioned builder frames would get 20% of the tips given to casters using their frames. But I appreciate you making a query for this!

the 20% apparently get bumped to 100% without any communication and tips given to frames casted by frame creator also got included. I did asked about that yesterday but not getting any response

Wow, that’s a jackpot for builders, right?! But does that mean the tips given to casters will be lost (not counted towards the caster’s points)?

nope the tips given to casters are not lost but on top of that builders also receiving the same amount. Btw I won't call it jackpot, looks like some sort closed discussion happened which ended up with 100% instead of the communicated 20% 😂

Err not sure if it is great or not. 1. When people tipped on the cast they casted which contain their frame, they already received 100% of those tips. Now what the frame bonus add: 2. Other people casted their frame, caster received full tips and they received 20% of those tips. Sounds fair as we can consider it as commission (why this also need to be 100%???) 3. frame bonus again give 100% tips on cast which contain frame casted by the frame creator. (means that point no.1 tips weighted 2x 😂 )

Oh, I misunderstood this at first. I thought that in point 2, if someone else casted using a frame, the caster would get 100% of the tip, and the frame creator would get 100% + 20% of that tip as a commission. Now I understand that this isn't a jackpot—it’s actually kind of unfair. The frame creator should be getting 100% + 20% of the tips when someone shares their frame, not just a small cut. Isn't that right, @ds8?

oh i wouldn't say it's unfair, i like this initiative however badly it was executed (of course, i benefited) originally the frame creator got nothing. with the announced bonus, they'd get 20%, but in reality they got 100% (i.e. the same as the caster). all in all it's good for the builders and hopefully it motivates others to add some value to the ecosystem. it was all quite a last minute effort and totally understand the need for clearer comms, but we're not talking huge amounts of degen anyway (and i believe most of it stays intact, at least i know i'm not selling it)

Yups! Before, builders didn’t get any benefits at all, but now they do. And it’s not just from Degen—Warpcast also gives rewards to builders. This is an amazing improvement! It really supports and motivates builders to keep creating.
