Muse of CAPTAIN PHILLIPS is not studied or spoken of enough. He is determined, optimistic, and scared. Most importantly, he wants to think of himself as, and often is, a good captain. He is unquestionably one of cinema’s great antagonists and “I’m the captain now” remains one of the great lines in film history.
