This guy committed fraud and possibly cost startups hundreds of thousands of dollars, on top of it reduced trust within the industry, gave Indian devs a bad name, gave fuel to racists in the industry etc and here he is doing what is essentially a victory lap. He will come out of this richer and the industry really need to introspect about this.

Building something that vets people specifically based on nationality is racist (and possibly illegal) but because of this it will likely start happening. Pretty much accepted wisdom among immigrant communities that when one of us does something wrong so publicly, it makes it harder for the rest of us.
