did you watch the whole video? this is convex on planetscale postgres. convex is "source available" but not actually open source with the Functional Source License. i can see how convex is useful if you want to continue writing javascript, just can't imagine beyond smaller apps you'd not migrate 101 $tipn

i'll have to pump it through notebooklm now since you've watched the whole vid ;) threshold - i took a look at their limits - https://docs.convex.dev/production/state/limits - probably works for most people - i just don't know who's grown with them, per se (or in 6-12-18 months you end up seeing the "why i migrated from convex to postgres" blogs) also, 1MB/doc might not be enough for some? mongodb is at 16mb right

idk i think i’ll try it for my next thing if i outscale it will be good news anyway otherwise it’s a lot of abstractions i always dreamed of and i’m sick of handling myself

I can only imagine! Yes, try it. My only experience with convex so far is during their switch to planetscale Postgres. Anyway, read the limits page. Maximise strengths, minimize weaknesses is what I always say. You design around that. And I think you’re golden. Outgrow is a good problem anyway ;) Good luck on the next thing
