feeling so blocked in my capacity to create reliable software systems. feels like i hit a ceiling where i can't see what's beyond of what i know, and any attempt to create a system that can actually be reliable and work is exhausting and so scary self taught devs: how do you jump through this hoop if you are not part of a team?

most software reliability comes from discipline (to keep things simple, and follow conventions)

was there something that brought this to your life more than anything else?

writing code in a lot of domains. most software barely works so its nothing to feel bad about. the world is messy and leads to a lot of edge cases so usually the more you can reduce complexity in your thought process and embrace systems thinking the better it will be. kinda abstract, not sure if that helps :P

ofc it helps. i think most in abstract terms tbh. im not sure with what you mean with systems thinking though "most software barely works" looooool the problem with that is when you don't have a job and you need the software to work in order to get money out of it
