Commons Chain is Syndicate's smart rollup for staking: https://docs.syndicate.io/en/docs/commons/basic-information Staking systems often have huge opportunities for MEV. Racing to be the last to vote or the first to claim is very common, since staking systems lock and unlock at certain times That MEV often gets captured by third parties, not the community itself. Commons Chain is our testbed for making customizations that let the community benefit from this activity, instead of having it leak away (In addition, it makes it so that every SYND staker uses a chain on Syndicate's Network, helping with awareness/growth for the entire network too!)
