I found this picture in the public bathroom of the B&B we are staying at.

I immediately thought about „The Ring“ which definitely is a horrible thought of myself. 
It feels like a strong but sad picture that holds me captive

This is what a portrait looks like when you photograph someone for the sake of the picture taking and you seemingly mastered the technical part. Yes, she looks into camera, but look at her hands? This woman is closed off, she is not sharing her heart with a viewer or the person taking this image.

Yes. You will never see any object in my images that reveals ‘time’, unless it has a meaning in the narrative. Same with clothes.

That’s what irritated me actually the most - looks like a 80 year old picture but I don’t think woman had watches back those days (not even sure if man had)

plus, we must pay attention to the details. Trying to create a portrait that is timeless, but leaving a watch on a wrist of your model...
