Sometimes it seems like I learn new things and I feel like I should’ve know them my whole like. 

I always thought dark roast coffees were “stronger”. They’re not. They tend to have a more robust flavor than light roast and medium roasts but they typically have lest caffeine. 

In general, the lighter the roast the stronger the coffee. That can vary by how it is roasted but is true in general.

That’s pretty much how I learned it. A coworker drinks dark roast and I always assumed it was stronger. I looked it up to see if there was much difference. None of us in the office knew it was the opposite.

Actually didn’t know this. My husband loves dark roast and always makes it too strong. I can never drink it.
He thinks it’s more caffeinated…wait till I tell him. 🤣

Correct. The lighter the roast, the less the caffeine has been cooked out of them.
