I caught this big healthy redfish last weekend while flounder fishing out of Charleston, SC. Talk about bycatch This is why I love fishing, you never know what's going to bite next!

Kayak fisherman who sometimes makes content.

I have been seriously considering getting a setup for Kayak fishing. I have no idea where to start. 

I did a ton of research and basically have two options: 
1. Low tech rig a traditional kayak 
2. Spend 15k on the full set up

Any advice on where to start?

Man for $15k you're going to have a spaceship or a kayak! If you've never kayak fished, I'd personally recommend starting out budget friendly with a solid, stable paddle kayak. Harder to fish from, but not everyone enjoys kayak fishing the same way they do fishing from a boat. Otherwise, most nicer pedal kayaks start around $3k, like this model.
