i built in Minecraft today and i learned from a 10yo named Billy and i loved it.

Billy is fully fluent in Minecraft. watching him play reminded me of how back in 2009 i could use an iPhone 1000x better than my parents.

btw i totally underestimated the complex long-term planning Minecraft requires to world build.

Minecraft is awesome! It encourages creativity, imagination, and perseverance by motivating players to stick with a build until it’s fully realized.
I'm not that great at it, but I team up with my 8-year-old son. I design the ideas on paper, and he brings them to life in Minecraft. We've built lots of zoos so far!

yes! Billy’s dad Misha said Billy is far better than him too. The amount of self-direction required from these kids to build massive, imaginative universes is mind boggling to me as someone who yearns for this level of creativity in tech. love that you’re building zoos with your son!! we had roles too :)
