Gotta say, being a photographer that doesn't shoot inherently beautiful subject/subject matter feels like a disadvantage here, oddly enough

Curious as to what people think about the variety of photo-based artwork that is prevalent here, or what people seem to enjoy most!

Thanks so much man! Yeah my work/other stuff like mine definitely stands out, but feel like they never receive the same level of appreciation as other styles like street, portrait, or landscape etc

But it's all good at the end of the day, makes sense in a lot of ways

hmm that's fair! I think, to many, it puts an element of discomfort that might not mean they "like it" per se, even if they find it interesting and valuable

but there is value in facing your discomfort, even if it's not reflected by engagement
