Oh sure. Culture and values are taught and kids learn whatever it is, even the hostile christo-fascist stuff. But kids are also exposed to more alternative takes than before and are more likely to step outside of their parent's worldview. Not perfect and probably not good enough.

True and any of them that can’t see the truth for what it really is, despite this level of exposure is responsible for their own ignorance. Do you feel like the older generation’s mentality and their decisions/choice politics wise might have been due to less exposure?

The opinions of others(alternative takes, like you mentioned) These help people in arriving at choices or decisions. One luxury this generation has had growing up cus that way, our mentality/ views can’t be caged

i wouldn't be surprised. consider the difference between rural and city dwelling americans. vaaaaast majority of americans live in or near cities. rural americans have fewer... everything. fewer people, fewer internet options, fewer cable stations, fewer friends per capita... but bigger families. they're mimetically isolated by comparison and so their belief systems are more likely to polarize (ie, drift towards an extreme).

Exactly! And that’s why it sometimes seems like those who are still in support of a system that that is THE problem are the ones who when you look at them, are affected the most by this same system Cus they have adopted the same mentality and lack the exposure to even see other POVs and to think differently. It makes me wonder how Trump will have the confidence to want to go for another year Like HOWW?
