I think state expiry is a mistake. I get that it's all "omg you only need 1-of-n to preserve it!" but.... that's the old internet! and it decays at a rapid pace! there is no reason we should expect web3 1-of-n to be any different from what I can tell! ! ! ! https://x.com/emo_eth/status/1915459551165636766

Web3 is supposed to be a ledger of truth, not a disappearing ink notebook. If state isn’t guaranteed, what even is the chain?

I think it's a huge mistake too. What attracted me to blockchains is immutability. If you expire state, this is practically gone.

Maybe that what "network state" is about? My state will keep all the data, but my neighbours will keep only the last year... And we could jump from one state to another? But more clarity about this would be welcomed
