I like the idea that we need more local cultural experiments that diverge from the global consensus. But ironically it seems like to permit this the dominant culture has to enforce valuing diversity and experimentation.

Good stuff, even if some points are suspect (last century being more peaceful is dubious, as is less work today because people aren't religious farmers). Is ETH going to lose like Betamax bc leadership et al isn’t embracing this pro-crypto cultural-political movement adding bitcoin to national reserves & instead generally aligns with the camp more against free speech & free market capitalism, or at least is too cautious to take a clear bold position on it?
