For me, this book is about the ability to survive in a world where old ways are collapsing, and it has two main heroines - Scarlett and Melanie. They are complete opposites, but both are incredibly strong and capable of surviving, each in their own way.

Scarlett is such a complex character! She’s passionate and ambitious, but her decisions often lead to drama. Makes for an unforgettable story, for sure. Did you find any new insights this time around?

i’ve been thinking about reading it since my teenage years, but somehow i still haven’t — and honestly, i just don’t feel like it. but i know that there are so many her fans!!

I'm sorry Scarlett broke up with Rhett, too. Throughout the book, my attitude towards Scarlett has changed, but the book is 10 times better than the movie, although I think the movie is wonderful
