Made a good cabbage fried rice. 

The trick to cooking cabbage well is to use more oil than you think necessary. Shredded cabbage has a way of steaming itself even when you want to stir fry it. Steaming is generally a terrible way to cook cabbage. It is not a vegetable that tastes great just wilted.

I’m going to make hash browns out of this crookneck squash and am salting it as described. If they turn out good i’ll post another pic. This is releasing water more/faster than cabbage usually does.

Have you tried lightly salting the cabbage and letting it sit for an hour or so in a colander before cooking? Light rinse, then use a towel to absorb the excess moisture before cooking. Seems it would fry up better

Ah I suppose if it's there all the time it can get quite tiresome. I've not tried a turnip and cucumber combo yet

My wife is Korean but I’m not a fan of cabbage kimchi. Cucumber and turnip are good though

Kimchi out of cabbage is the only way. Speaking as someone who has recently started making kimchi 😜

Extra oil prevents this? I roast it a lot and never knew
