This is nowhere near enough to keep him committed if he sees value in dumping the sector. He’s 78 playing for historic legacy, not inheritances for his brood.

I think that's a gross oversimplification based on what I'm seeing in the group chats today. I don't think most powerful in SV are blind followers of Elon or Trump. They are more pragmatic than that.

The big guns of faang will go their own way, but since this battle will be negative sum, I think they’ll just try to keep their heads down and go passive. Unpredictability of this level is worse than outright hostility for big business.

Biden admin was “anti tech” on paper but I’m guessing they’d be happy to go back to that, when Lina Khan was their nemesis, rather than Trump’s clown car economists.

Also plenty of tech that's still going to stay aligned with the admin vs. Elon. Might just do it quietly.
