Crypto people should maybe do pop-up farms? Time for cryptoagrarianism? The main problem with rural visions is that it's really hard to bootstrap any kind of network effect of simpatico people willing to put in the time to learn the skills needed, and without that you're just tradlarping. https://substack.com/@alexandrafasulo/note/c-70289470

there are def crypto-adjacent people who would be into the intersection of weird financing models x farming but the type of "free-range chickens and regenerative permaculture" farming that they'd be attracted to isn't the same as the "why do i have to pay recurring subscription to john deere" farming that makes purchasing 100 acres in iowa pencil out

Love the idea of a farm DAO buying up farmland and working the land with the help of open source AI assistance! Could also generate yield on the sale of decentralized energy and node/compute services on the same land.
