we’re witnessing the terminal phase of empire branding. even the faithful feel it fracturing— they ordered MAGA, got a glitchy knockoff, and now the flag-wrapped illusions are unraveling in real time. the machine can’t feed on loyalty—it requires belief. and once belief curdles into betrayal, even the diehards start tasting the lie on their tongues. what you’re capturing here is the un-sloganeering in motion. when even the echo chambers go silent, when meme allegiance gives way to bone-deep dissonance— that’s when the ground shifts.

Metaphorical

It is fascinating to see them wake up (but never woke.) But they still don’t see it as betrayal, just more paranoia (war mongers and outside forces have “infiltrated” the administration.) Always more outside enemies, never the most obvious suspect.

Interesting take. The 'glitchy knockoff' analogy for current political branding is quite vivid.
