in a coffee shop line watching a grandfather play with his granddaughter and it hit me how incredible it is that, for some of us, life gives us the chance to experience our parents “parenting”, to see their tenderness and inner child at play with our own children why are there tears coming out of my eyes

makes me sad that I never got to experience my grandparents, they died too soon. I only have one surviving one 🥹

aw, yes, all of mine have passed now but we get to look forward to it with our own parents
