On token-gating I think it's conflating a tool for an outcome. People want to create vibrant and thriving community. Does token-gating enable that? Potentially, given the right product / UX and user base.

It helps in some ways in relations to onchain activity, I often think about the many ways WLs can be distributed on here and those early contributions on said channels can end up turning into lucrative opportunities. You often want to get pick pocketed by those who pay attention/join early communities.
