@ethswarm Bee ultra-light node running in a browser via a Service Worker Doesn't 100% work yet (file upload and download doesn't work) but it's able to peer with other nodes, save some state to a browser and query API endpoints but it's a huge progress

The whole WASM binary is around ~70MB, most of it is go-libp2p. Later on it could be compressed with tinygo, but it currently lacks support for some std modules In order to enable compilation for the whole thing I had to fork GoLevelDB to use JS syscalls to a ZenFS filesystem, fix go-libp2p WASM compilation by explicitly omitting some files from WASM compilation, and write a WASM compatible libp2p websocket transport

Once Swarm network enables WebSocket libp2p transports by default and gets TLS support, it will be way easier for browser bee nodes to connect to a global networks and pull files, essentially allowing decentralized serverless storage ⚡ ⚡ ⚡
