I'm not a fan of contentcoins. The reason is that it feels ephemeral, and a trend that will quickly pass. You could say they are NFTs on steroids, and I like NFTs. But NFTs were collections, and collections, with their traits, and features, and rarity, and everything that came with them created an environment where users could build a deeper connection with their collection. There were things to talk about, how you like a specific trait, how you wish you had a rare item. And created the opportunity to interact with other collectors and the creator. Contentcoins are none of this. Which is fine with me, but if creators are to actually make a living this way, they need a new layer where they will build their audience. The coin name should be second, the creator, first. It seems to me that Farcaster, with its social layer and its application layer (Mini Apps) is a good fit, and contentcoins would do much better if they integrated these elements in their core. How? Not sure.

From a market perspective they are far less ephemeral, most of the issues you highlight can be solved with UX (collections for eg). But on the technical side, metadata is sorely missed. Been sad to have to let that go for the time being
