How do you think We could more easily Share this In a way Where everyone Could click That link To the article And The page would display In their native language This app Farcaster Would need to know something About you What language do you speak? And then It would help you Facilitate communicating With everyone else Regardless Of Their Language

Manual translation is the best way to ensure true understanding. I correct each sentence and simplify it to make it meaningful in my native language. AI can help do the bulk of the work but it’s essential to review and make corrections.

I understand you. When working on larger texts, I could see how that extra time and care would make a meaningful difference. With short form communication like this, you and I texting right now - Are we doing all we could? Who will not be able to participate in this? Who will see a different language and not engage? How can we best help them engage? My thought is, put something in the integration layer they do not even see. They do not even know it is there that facilites them engaging.

@undefined created a while ago an action that allowed instant translation and replies in all languages. It no longer works right now but I hope it will return soon. It was a useful tool where the language barrier didn’t exist anymore.

I used the language packs on my samsung phone to more or less accomplish what I wanted. It requires downloading a pack for each language, but once downloaded, I can at least translate and type a response without leaving farcaster on my phone. I'm talking with the web dev at Beni and we are thinking about taking a crack at a mini app for this, but my real vision is that farcaster would know everyone's default language and they would see all content in that language. Something you could toggle off, if you wanted. But it could at least be an option. Big dreams here - an entire integrated layer of language translation, happening behind the scenes. So that people wouldn't even know they were interacting with someone that did not speak their language.
