Should parents get one extra vote per child? Just because the kids aren’t old enough to vote, their interests should still be accounted for right?

Considering that many adults don't vote the same way as their parents, I don't think this makes sense. This would also be tough for kids who aren't voting age but have political opinions that differ from their parents. Imagine being disenfranchised but knowing you're giving more power to someone you disagree with.

This is a really good point I hadn’t considered I differed with one parent in high school and agreed with another That has totally swapped now

But here your problem isn't with Graham's idea, but with the voting age Either 17 year olds can have legitimate political views, in which case they should be allowed to vote; or they don't It would still be tough for kids but I don't think it makes Graham's idea a non-starter
