Critique of #2 i.e. in-app wallets > it entails significant convenience sacrifices And, if you believe in owning your identity, sacrificing your values (even if in-app wallets are non-custodial). It's forcing identity fragmentation (which could be opt in) Not to mention the UX issues with funding all these accounts > most practical way to remove public links between all of your activity A lot of things aren't possible in this system. Again, should be opt in. I would use it for some things but not all > works very naturally with in-application wallets This is the thing I'm fundamentally against heh > new workflows...look very similar to...cross-chain interop That has a notoriously bad UX and is a red flag to me - So, what's better? I don't know, but sponsored transactions and sub accounts seem like a good starting point. IMO, users bringing their accounts (EOA or smart wallet) to apps is a major UX benefit of crypto for both devs and users https://warpcast.com/vitalik.eth/0x81c6995c
