Hi @yancey listened to your dialectic ep + ted talk — appreciate your perspective tackling business w a creative’s lens.

With the explosion of people tapping into their creativity, how do you envision creators collaborating when there is a wide range of skill/exp?

What do you mean the past? I do them right now

I go to people's shows to tell them they're awesome. I've made people mixtapes as a way of showing I understand their taste. I've sent strangers raw google docs of things not yet public to see what they thought. i've knocked on someone's door because they ran a label i loved. 

not all of these turned out how i hoped. it's hard not to come on a little strong :) but all part of the journey (and it's still continuing)

Makes sense. What are some scrappy things you’ve done in the past to get someone onboard your vision?

People most genuinely collaborate and make interesting things together when a shared interest or common cause brings them together. As each new person joins the group, its capacity and abilities evolve. There are limits and breaking points to this, but I think it always starts with the shared goal even more than the specific skills people bring. It's the dish, not just the ingredients
