A Crafter's Cove

I wanted to craft today, but didn't have much energy after work. Taking the approach of one of my fave writers at the moment, Kathryn Vercillo, of a few stitches a day and letting go of productivity expectations, I got the gauge swatch done for this lovely afghan kit I'm starting from Annie's Attic. I got the measurements correct on the second try, as I was working too tightly on the first try. Not only does a swatch help for comparison during a project, doing it made me "loosen up" my grip so to speak and relax.

Right? The kit is for a monthly block subscription until the end of the project. I think that's the best way for me to handle this one.
