How long until ev kits are affordable so I can drive an old Bronco around?

I’ve heard of the self driving kits that comma offers but not ev kits

These guys make the kits I’m most curious about.  A big part of the cost is regenerative brakes (thx @brianmorris.eth) - I do wonder if short range vehicles without regenerative breaking would bring costs way down:
