This key cap is very broken. Apple says they need to replace the entire keyboard. Any creative ideas here. It still works when I press on the rubber it’s just that a piece of plastic broke off and the app replacement keys don’t snap on. 

Any creative ideas on how I can fix this?

p.s. because I don’t live anywhere near an Apple Store nor in a place apple can ship to, just replacing the keyboard is not an option since it takes to long.

I had a similar issue where the replacement key wouldn’t snap on. Try sticking something underneath the clear plastic piece that the key would snap into to provide enough pressure to get it to snap on.
