I need a consensus on this. How many of you need to record your workout? Personally, I’ve never recorded a workout on my watch or Oura ring. (Also, forgetting headphones has to be the worst gym feeling in the world/ I’d rather tear a muscle than forget my headphones)

i record runs on strava because it's the only thing (personally) i like to measure and see improve over time. I think that over analyzing workouts can potentially take some of the joy out of it or at least it certainly has for me.

I’m curious, what happens when improvements stop or even regress? Is it still worth measuring? I’m not saying that it would happen soon but like in 20 years when it makes sense that your physicalality cannot possibility keep up with linear progression. How do you psychologically manage or would you stop measuring?

Yeah that’s a good point I guess right now I’m running for the joy but also to go faster and further so it is worth measuring now. I do think it would be worth it to note regression so you can look into it if it’s unexpected but I don’t know!
