Oh we do sandwiches differently than youāre used to.. we rarely do them with meatballs.. Its mainly because we have sooo many types of what we call āaffettatiā or āsalumiā.. which includes Salame, Prosciutto etc.. Just with a quick search on google it says thereās more than 20 but i bet theres way more.. Go look into it more, so youāll understand what im talking about.. Also.. the bread.. We have soooo many different types of bread, focaccias, piadine, and so much other stuff.. I mean.. its a complicated matter ahahah if you come to italy youāll probably leave without trying all the possible sandwiches cause thereās so many qnd depends also on region.. People really have nooo idea how wide āitalian foodā is.. this should just be an example ahaha usually they think its just pasta and pizzaš

Iām insulted that the old man at the Italian bakery would be less forthcoming with me about which sandwiches I can eat Tho to your point on salumi- this is what we get. A bunch of various spicy cured pork meats put together

Ahahah when you come to italy come to me, iāll make you eat the best sandwiches.. Anyway, no, we dont mix stuff up too much.. every kind of meat has its own kind of cheese.. vegetables, sauces, breads.. Its truly an art
