Just had the amazing idea to use AI to translate all of my books to different languages so I can open them up to various different markets. Pros and cons of this approach?

I've thought of doing the same. Challenge is verification. I wouldn't trust the AI to get it right without a native speaker going through it (ideally while simultaneously reading the original as well). It has therefore become quite a large project in my mind. 😂

You'll have to pay translators to edit it so you'll be sure that it's accurate. The pro is that the cost for editing might be cheaper than the cost for translating from scratch?

I’ve edited books translated that way. Trust me, you’ll need a human at some point. AI is amazing overall, but if it misinterprets something, it will adjust the rest for consistency, and can make your points sound the opposite of what you intended.
