That’s why when you get in a cold pool, it eventually stops feeling cold; the temperature of your skin and the water has equalized and you no longer feel heat transfer.

That makes sense... I guess it's why you don't feel cold traveling in a hot air balloon. You're moving with the wind, and so no heat is getting transferred.
