How did parents let their kids leave to āgo find themselvesā before the ability to communicate via phone? The amount of anxiety I would feelā¦. Crippling. No way to check in and it could be weeks, months, years š¤Æ

Right?! my parents sent me to Istanbul with my grandmother when I was just one years old for the first timeā¦ I canāt imagine not knowing exactly what and how my one-year-old was doing in another country

Right?! Maybe thatās how they slept. They just knew that if they didnāt hear anything that things were OK. š¤ Whereas us on the other hand, we know where our kids are every second lol GPS / 24/7 video - etc etc The one thing Iām sure of, is that my kids wonāt be able to get away with the stuff I did and thatās due to home Video monitoring lol (nest / google Home etc)
