The career path posts reminds me of my most collectivist and also most nationalist take: bring back conscription a la post war Germany. Everyone, male and female should be required to do 2 years of civil or military service. All classes have skin in the game, eliminates the warrior class, war isn’t an abstraction, conscription is a deterrent for wanton reckless military action. Shared experience creates lifelong bonds and cohesion across race and sex.

I think Israel has this (not being political, I just know a number of well-to-do Israeli men and women who do seem shaped in a meaningful way by that shared experience)
