sometimes i get mad at myself for what a mindless humanoid i used to be 

i had no care for curating what media i consumed, who i spent my time with, or how i allocated my precious time

i was honestly so hopeless, lost, depressed and living without any purpose 

i have now realized how each of these categories very acutely shapes my life experience, and that i have almost total control over my mental state based upon how i adjust them 

which is honestly wild, because i always thought life was happening “to” me

and i finally realized life is happening “through” me instead

all that to say i’m still not perfect about this ofc but i am getting better and my life experience continues to improve as i realize how much power i have over it
