If all those metrics were inverted and Trump claimed it was all him and none of Biden's efforts, would you agree? The truth is it's a bit more muddy than we would like to admit Not excusing Trump's blatant lies btw

this seems disingenuous, or at least omitting the elephant in the room it's not that muddy at all, when a black swan event corrolates with a major (historically unprecedented) policy shift if trump had implemented some tremendous policy that dominated news cycles for months in a positive way, like (bad examples) eliminating all taxes or buying China outright, then yes, he would get the credit for it suddenly going up

The geopolitical context Trump is in at the start of 2025 wasn't solely his own creation There were several Biden administration officials that seemingly pivoted against China as they saw more threat The reaction Trump put to address that context is questionable but many figures agreed there needed to be a rebalance
