Do you think if people just accepted near zero wages autonomous cars would not be built, or are you saying that collective bargaining inheritly leads to fascism and protests. I'm struggling to see what's the fault of collective bargaining.

I have been at NGO meetups here in Berlin with overwhelmingly left-influential laptop-class people and the call there was that it must be in the best interest to be automated away workers to collectively bargain using unionization.

I got it. I agree collective bargaining wont save jobs that are gonezo and I'm not sure that's even a lukewarm take. My counter however is who said "the left's" response was collective bargaining? Their solution was forced scarcity or regulation via a medallion system. If the left actually had power, they can still do the same and ban autonomous cars.

Driving is the get-started-in-the-US kit for immigrating low-skilled men. Waymo has just killed that stepping stone. Elon knew this was happening, so he became anti immigration bc it‘d lead to too much social unrest. Maybe it is the authoritarian left all along who has prevented public transport in the US, for the joooobs
