Of all the changes to Twitter, blog-length tweets is by far the worst. Algo quality is far worse now too, but nothing makes me switch to another app quicker than a wall of text I’m only mildly interested in.

TFW When “show more” reveals fewer than the 9 characters it was hiding. 🫠

I find it particularly annoying that "show more" doesn't expand the long tweet in place.  (to be fair Warpcast also has that annoying behavior with showing more replies....)

There are a few exceptions which may be worth capturing, but you probably want _some_ form of rate limiting per user.

Who would have though that less is in fact more

They’re worse than blog posts but they’re still better than tweet threads

If you keep people in a cage long enough they will fashion the bars into tools.
