This more in-depth video from WWDC Developer Sessions about the nuances of Liquid Design language have changed my perspective on it. There are a ton of thoughtful interactions intended in this system like automatic opacity switching when over text, increased shadow when over other elements etc.

This shows though, as much of what you’ll see in the video does not resemble what they showed on the keynote, that what they had ready for demo was very far off from what it was supposed to look like. 

I hope they can deliver the necessary tweaks by September.

Yeah this is rough. As I said, they are not following their own guidance and it's messy. I have not been particularly positive on this so far. But, cautiously, there is room for optimism.

Yeah understandable, Im sure they’ll fix it eventually. Just seems most of the thoughtful interactions are all extremely niche, and like they almost entirely forgot about the most basic things.

It so odd to me. Their entire design language up until this point was essentially all about accessibility. This is going to awful for anyone that needs accessibility features.
