Has anyone here tried Asahi Linux? Thinking about maybe trying it on my M2 Air.

No issue getting it installed. But now I’m trying to tweak gnome to my macOS workflow with a bunch of of extensions. After that, I’ll try hyprland maybe

I gave up for today. It's fully working. There's no issue technically, but I'm so used to my highly tweaked MacOS settings that it's gonna take me a while to customize it how I want it. Also most likely going to try hyprland and that feels like too much for tonight. Will come back to it at some point and post more here.

Omarchy won’t work. Says it requires x86 architecture. Tried a patch, that didn’t work.

Tried Armarchy, that also didn’t work. 

Might try the Asahi Alarm Hyprland edition but if that’s a no go, I think I’m done trying to get this to run on my M2 MacBook. Will have to wait to get a thinkpad or desktop

My current loose plan is I’m going to try to do a fresh install of Asahi Alarm (asahi x arch Linux on arm). From there I think I can just run the Omarchy script to have a fully running hyprland setup. 

So the tl;dr so far is for a stock gnome setup, no issues. For a highly custom setup, I probably should have gone a different route.

Update: 

1. I haven’t been able to get hyprland to work
2. I used gnome tweaks to remap my cmd key to ctrl which saved some annoyances but introduced new ones
3. I ditched the gnome Tahoe theme as it’s not my fave. I haven’t been able to make any theme from gnome look work. 
4. Brave flatpak version is weird. 

Overall, I’m really struggling. As much as I have preferred gnome to KDE, I wonder if I should have gone with the KDE version to get up and running with hyprland more easily
